Personal Background

The speaker attended a boys' school in Kerala, where sports, particularly football, played a significant role.
He was involved in extracurricular activities and leadership roles during his schooling.
After high school, he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at St. Stephen's College in Delhi.

The speaker discovered ultimate frisbee through an exchange student while studying in Delhi.
Ultimate frisbee is a non-contact team sport played with a flying disc, emphasizing self-referencing and resolving conflicts without referees or umpires.
The speaker explains the concept of the "spirit of the game" and the importance of resolving conflicts through communication and mutual respect.

The speaker shares his experience of playing ultimate frisbee and witnessing its positive impact on a group of underprivileged kids from a small village in Delhi.
These kids formed a club called GK Mad and achieved remarkable success, transforming their lives from school dropouts involved in juvenile delinquency to role models and mentors in their community.

Inspired by these changes, the speaker co-founded a non-profit organization called Y Ultimate, which uses ultimate frisbee as a tool to empower the next generation.

Mega is a young ultimate frisbee player from Zamrudpur, Delhi, India.
Despite challenges, she pursued her passion for ultimate frisbee and was selected to the Indian under-24 team in 2018.
In 2019, she was selected to the Asian Oceanic grass team and helped India finish third.
In 2020, she was selected to captain the Indian under-20 women's team in Sweden, but the tournament was canceled due to COVID-19.
Mega is currently selected to the Indian national team for the World Ultimate Championship later this year.
She is also an accomplished student and is currently in her second year of BA English honors at Miranda House in Delhi University.
Mega co-founded the club team GKM last year and led them to a second-place finish in the national championship.
Mega is an inspiration to the next generation of children in her community and is committed to passing on her learnings and supporting their growth.
She is one of five players from Zamrudpur who are currently training for the World Championship later this year.
